Sports Report March 2019

On Wednesday 6th March, eight pupils from Year 4 attended the All England Badminton Championships at the Birmingham Arena.

They had the opportunity to watch live matches and see the players from many different countries participating in the opening rounds. Everyone enjoyed the day and were fantastic roles models for our school; their behaviour was complimented by members of the public.

World Book Day 2019

Yesterday, we celebrated World Book Day. There were lots of amazing costumes and very creative ideas! Children took part in book related activities throughout the day. We welcomed author Judy Brulo into school to spend the day with the children who were very excited to ask her a lot of questions on how she would come up with her ideas for the books she has written, and how long they took to write. She went to each class throughout the day to engage with the children in their activities.

All children will be given a World Book Day token to use as part payment for a book or to purchase one of the special World Book Day titles from Monday 25th –Thursday 28th March 2019. Please visit our twitter page to see a selection of photographs from our celebrations in school
