Sports Report October 2018

On Thursday 18th October two teams from Years 6 took part in a Quick Sticks hockey competition.

Marsh Hill A had some tough matches and did very well to get to the quarter finals where they were narrowly knocked out on goals scored.

Marsh Hill B won their group, drawing 2 matches and winning 1. They then went on to win 3-0 in the quarter final, 2-0 in the semi-final and 1-0 in the final against The Abbey.
An excellent achievement as a total of 22 teams entered the competition. Marsh Hill B now go through to the grand finals and we wish them the best of luck.

On Tuesday 23rd October we had yet more success. Twelve girls took part in the Year 3 and 4 Gymnastics competition where 12 teams competed. Our B team came away with silver medals and our A team won Gold, we are so proud! six of these girls will now go on to represent The Erdington Cluster at the county finals.

A big well done to everybody who competed!

Harvest Celebrations 2018

A BIG thank you to parents for the generous donations of food and produce which was collected by Elim Church for their Food Bank.

Harvest Celebrations

Well done to Year 6 for their super Harvest assemblies this week. The children sang sweetly and informed us of why we gather harvest and what it means to many people. A BIG thank you to parents for the generous donations of food and produce which will be donated to Elim Church Food Bank. We will still be collecting next week and would appreciate further donations. Year 6 reminded us that Harvest Festival reminds us of all the good things God gives us and this makes us want to share with others who are not so fortunate.
