Ofsted Inspection Report July 2018
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. It reports directly to Parliament and is both independent and impartial. By law, it must inspect schools with the aim of providing information to parents, to promote improvement and to hold schools to account.
We are extremely pleased and delighted to confirm that, following a two-day inspection, Ofsted inspectors judged Marsh Hill Primary School's Overall Effectiveness as GOOD. The inspectors observed over 30 lessons, scrutinised safeguarding procedures, looked through pupils’ books, talked to and heard pupils read, met with all senior leaders, pastoral staff, governors and to many of you and made the following judgements:
Effectiveness of Leadership and Management: GOOD
Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment: GOOD
Personal Development and Welfare*: OUTSTANDING and Behaviour*: GOOD
Outcomes for Pupils: GOOD
Early Years Provision: OUTSTANDING.
The Ofsted Parent View Website gives parents the opportunity to tell Ofsted what you think about your child's school. Ofsted uses this information when making decisions about which school's to inspect and when. By sharing your views, you will be helping your child's school to improve.
