The School Day

SCHOOL OPENING HOURS

The following information relates to the official start of our school day (morning registration) to the official end of the compulsory school day. It includes breaks, but not optional before or after school activities.

Saturday and Sunday

Closed

Pupils are able to come into school from 8.40am onward, with registration beginning at 8.45am and lessons beginning at 8.55am.

The School Office is contactable from 8.10am to 4.30pm each school day, either in person or via a telephone call.

For the first half term, as part of our Transition Arrangments, pupils in Reception begin dinner at 11.30am. Pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 begin lunch at 11.45am.

Home time for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils is at 3.10pm. For Key Stage 2 pupils, it is 3.15pm. These scattered finish times allows parents/carers with more than one child in different key stages to collect their children on time.

Assemblies

Whole school assembly takes place on Mondays. Celebration Assemblies take place on Wednesdays (EYFS / Phase 1) and Fridays (Phase 2) to celebrate children's achievements. Parents of children nominated to receive awards are invited to attend. Class assemblies take place on Wednesdays and Fridays. Each year group presents an assembly during the year; parents are invited to watch their children perform in these assemblies.
